Greetings. It’s been a while.
I was wondering… Is there a good, free utility or add-on for AOL Instant Messenger v5.5.3599 that isn’t buggy and also keeps the window flashing on my Taskbar if I have any unanswered IMs? I noticed that while AIMutation works, it doesn’t keep the window flashing if I look at one window but minimize the collection to the tray without looking at any of the other windows…(It also cuts part of the Buddy List buttons off at the top.) I’m scared to try AIM+ because I heard it’s full of spyware and icky things like that. I don’t want to downgrade AIM further just so I can use old releases of DeadAIM, either. As for other things, Messenger:Mate costs money, as do DeadAIM 4.5 and I.M. Frame… Any help would be appreciated.
Also, I’m using Windows XP with Service Pack 2, if anyone’s curious.
latest AIM official beta (used to be triton but now they just call it some numbered release) is also pretty good with vertical tabs. you can tear off any you want to keep in front.
