Hello
Recently I noticed that I have got a friend in ‘my friend’ tab on my profile.live.com page :s I am not sure whether I added it myself or no or just by accident clicking (because have had some connection problems).
If I didn’t do that then how could it happen? Now I want to have ‘my friends’ tab empty (as it was before) but deleting the contact from this list causing the deleting it from the WLM contact list! If I re-adding it to the WLM it puts it in the ‘my friends’ tab. And vice versa. Is there any way to delete a contact only from profile.live.com page and back everything as it was before?
Well, if I add it by myself then why can’t I turn it back?PS: I have already adjusted my privacy options for viewing friends list.
Thank you in advance

There have been a lot of changes to the “friend” concept and basically the thought nowadays is that if the person is on your contact list, they are a friend, and will see whatever you allow based on your privacy settings.
It’s going to take some getting used to, and I definitely recommend checking out the privacy settings (which I know you said you have done) to make sure that they are set the way you want them.

Whether all contacts from wlm contact list are moving to the live page or just few of them depending on … depending on what?
There’s another strange thing about this on my side, the only one contact moved to live page. Hmm?October 26, 2010 at 5:39 pm #173139Doris KenneyParticipantI’d venture that the person you are seeing on that page is someone you’ve added as a contact since the web changes were made. However, anyone on your friends list (which at least on mine is far more than is seen on the webpage) can see your social information you’ve allowed.

Thank you 🙂October 27, 2010 at 10:43 am #173141Doris KenneyParticipantI’m pretty sure your contacts can request to be on your profile as well. Perhaps with your connection issues you accidentally accepted what you thought was a contact request when it was a request to be on your profile.
Either way, things are changing and what your contacts can see is changing. So for anyone who hasn’t checked out the new privacy settings on your Live ID I definitely recommend doing so.
