Music has it’s own language which can be unerstood by heart, understanding the lyrics dosen’t matter. Here in Asia music is called, ”Food of the soul.” I have listened this Brazilian song 4 months back and I really like it, I don’t know what’s the lyrics means… but it feels funny, its also very popular here in Pakistan. If somebody knows Brazilian language would he/she translate it.
Here is a link to the song.. Download it!August 28, 2005 at 5:00 pm #128816Lord_SetuweathMemberUnfortunately I don’t know what the words mean, but it does sound kind of weird…

The title Papi Chulo is like saying ‘pimp’, The song i think is from Puerto Rico where this type of music came from, Reggaeton; a mix of reggae rythms, hip hop and rap.

Well since it’s Spanish, I know most of the translation, But it isn’t appropriate to type here…October 19, 2005 at 4:12 pm #128818rayado_inglesMemberhatedjealousy wrote:Well since it’s Spanish, I know most of the translation, But it isn’t appropriate to type here…jaja yeah thats what i thought! October 19, 2005 at 6:10 pm #128811OreoMemberHaving lived in PR for four years…I know this song and Reggaeton all too well. Thanks folks for not translating it! I had a friend one time who was on a bus here in the upper 48, over heard a woman talking about her VDs and whatnot REALLY loud(all in Spanish) he said sometimes knowing another language is a bad thing. 😉

I am hispanic. 🙂 I was born here in Texas but both my parents know Spanish, so i got it from them. I also took Spanish classes in high school to learn how to read and write it better, so i’m pretty fluent at it. Also that’s why i would hear that song so much at parties, usually both spanish music and english is always played.October 20, 2005 at 1:36 am #128812gossipingraeMembermy old roommate’s ex boyfriend is from PR, and they met in the army. he actually sang this song to her as a joke, and when i met her, she was always singing “i wanna be your papi chulo” it was pretty funny.
