MemberJust wondering, how much is gas around where you live?
May 4, 2005 at 10:20 pm #120933shifter
Participant92.5 cents/litre here in Northern Alberta, Canada. That’s about $2.8/Gallon in US funds. Yup, it’s very high here.

MemberDepends really where you go. Right down the street from where I live, the Exxon charges $2.15, and if you go the next town over to WaWa, they are charging $2.08.
As soon as you get off Interstate 80, there is another Exxon. That dude is a rip off! He charges $2.35. But he can get away with it, because cars who get off the Interstate don’t know about WaWa and pay that much.
Fun fact: When I was in Germany in 2000 (seems like eons ago lol), we were riding the AutoBahn and passed a gas station. They charged about 9 DM (marks) a gallon! That converts to about $4.50! My teacher said that many people don’t drive, they take transportation or ride a bike. Could you imagine?
I’m so glad that my car has a little gas tank. I’ve had it for almost 2 years, and I have NEVER had to pay more than $20, even on empty with these gas prices!

ParticipantOurs averages between $1.80 to $2.10, it changes quite frequently

ParticipantOur gas has never gone above $2.10 per gallon it is currently $2.06 and goes a bit lower every 2 days. It’s mainly at $2.00 and usually before gas prices were raised it was always for a dollar and some cents. We can’t complain here though, since the news keeps saying we have the lowest gas prices out of all the states, i haven’t looked into that.

MemberI think it’s a little above $2.23, because that was the cheaper price where my parents go.

Memberys8er2323 wrote:I would think its harder to get gas over there and it would cost more =/I’m not some hick you know. It is civilized here. It’s just cheaper to live here than in a suburb or city. Why do you think it’s expensive in huge cities like New York, Philly, Chicago, LA? Think about that.
I haven’t lived here all my life. I’m from Philly. Don’t you be thinking I’m a redneck now! 😉

ParticipantIn Rochester we get about 1.85 regularly, it’ll hit 2.05 sometimes, the highest I’ve noticed it hit about 2.30. But that’s here in Rochester, I’m sure it gets much higher in the Cities.
Golly, I remember when people would complain when it hit .90… *sigh*

Participantyeah it’s regularly about 2.30something around here… it goes up a few cents, it goes down a few cents, then it goes back up a few more cents than it went down… it’s fun. really. it’s times like this when i’m actually glad i dont have a car of my own to deal with. except for the whole can’t go anywhere without the parents’ car thing.
