Participanti wanted to annoy my friends cause im bored and pressed the eyeball to make it close and open like 10 times and it eventually made it so that I couldnt im anyone or go invsible again. you know how when you do something too much or aim is lagging and the little green yellow and red bars go down on the IM box screen..thats what it did when I click the eyeball too much. this hasnt happened before..why did it now?

KeymasterGee, you think maybe AOL changed the rules to prevent people like you from being a nuisance? Seriously… when you do that, you strain the network resources an annoy everyone on your list. There’s a reason AOL changed the rules; what you were doing is dumb.

MemberAmen Jeff. It’s so annoying and I have ended up blocking at least 3 people on my list because of it, I’m glad AOL changed the rules.

MemberI think it’s kinda funny when people do that (although I do have the sounds off and only those little popup notifications).

Maybe what you find ‘fun’ pissed off a lot of other users? Maybe it pissed enough people off that AOL was forced to make a change in the protocol and connection servers?
Maybe some people that have you on their list are ‘working’ (omygosh), and maybe they don’t want to deal with that? I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone could want to be that immature. ‘hahaha I can sign in and out a lot, hahahaha’. But maybe all your 12 year old AOL friends do that too?
I don’t know dude, but I think you deserve the criticism (sorry).

Memberpreety stupid, but I think that sometimes when you do something too much, AOL likes to annoy THEM, too! See where I am going?

MemberPeople, turn off your sounds and pop-up notifications! Who cares?!
April 25, 2004 at 1:08 am #81789magistyk
MemberWhy should people have to turn off their sounds and pop-up notifications because one idiot decides to keep logging back in and out? That’s dumb.
You are most likely loosing rate because you are straining the resources allotted to your screen name in such a short period of time.
