Another awesome album. Just grabbed it early off of IRC but I’m buying it when it comes out on the 13th. Its a little short, only 55 minutes long. Total of 12 tracks, 10 plus 2 hidden.
If you don’t know who The Roots are, they’re a really talented hip-hop group. Very creative guys and are AWESOME in concert. I saw them at my college a few months ago. INCREDIBLE! They each did their own amazing solo. I was blown away. Black Thought is always good on the mic too. Hope they come back again. I’m glad that they will still do small school concerts considering how big they are.

MemberGood Hip-Hop? Theres no such thing :p
I think rock music is better, but hey, each to his own.
Did you know Californication – The Red Hot Chili Peppers was voted the best album of the past decade. Chili’s are my fave band! 😀

Memberlol, I’m sure I can find a hip-hop fan somewhere here. This isn’t like the usual nonsense on TV.

Participantmartin your post was not needed here. If you don’t like hip-hop, thats fine. There are plenty of genres of music I dislike as well, but there is no need to trash them just to be rude. RHCP is a fine rock band, but that has nothing to do with hip-hop. Your post is off-topic and useless, please do not do this again.
forbez – I’m a very selective hip-hop fan, but the Black Eyed Peas album is awesome and I just got the new Beastie Boys as well, its not as catchy as past albums, but it grows on you the more you listen. Great stuff.

MemberYeah I have the new Beastie Boys too. I really like it, its got some funky sounding beats and the rhymes are old school and simple. I’ve heard Black Eyed Peas singles on the radio and stuff but I’ve never listened to their albums. I’ll give them a listen.

MemberI listen to hip-hop probably more than anything else (that doesn’t mean that I don’t listen to other types of music ^_^ ). I think the most important part is the beat. Without a good one, you can’t really have a good song. I’ve never heard of the Roots though. The Black Eyed Peas are pretty good.

But I wasn’t trashing them to be rude, I was just voicing my own opinion, because I did say, “each to his own” as to mean, “if you like hip-hop, fair enough, I just don’t”. No one else really seemed offended by it.
However yes, it was off topic, RHCP arn’t hip-hop, so sorry.

MemberReal nice selection of artists there. I haven’t heard of Physco Realm or K’Jon though. Not a fan of 50 cent anymore! lol He’s way too into the commercialism after preaching about how he was anti-commercial.
J Black – Hellbound (feat Masta Ace, Eminem)
Nice song, Masta Ace is nuts except I’ve seen him get trashed in battles 😮
Wu-tang, Big L, and Beatnuts are classics.

MemberYou can check out http://www.ohhla.com for info on Phsyco Realm, or most of the International artists. K’Jon’s Miami is fround on the 2 Fast 2 Furious soundtrack, track number 16 if I remember well. However, it’s more on the RnB side than hardcoe hiphop.
Never seen Masta Ace get trashed in battles, but I admire his clear and pronounced diction. I’ve heard only one other of his songs, and toi be honest, I wasn’t that impressed. It’s the song I really like, one of those amazingly powerfull insturmentals. Great for freestyles. 😀
I know what you mean about 50, but lets face it, thats the way the Earth turns.
Had you ever heard of SPM (South Park Mexican) before? He is one of the more popular artists in the hip-hop scene in the area where I live.
Another hiphop related site I checkout regularly and think is worth a mention is http://www.rapdict.org.
