I must admit to being a bit of a space buff, and so today when I saw this I was a happy bunny.
Most of us will have played about with google maps, but now there is Google Mars!
Here is the link for you to have a play about with – seems to be just one view at the moment but very clever stuff all the same.
By the way just in case some of you don’t know (we seem to have a lot of new members recently), but bbb has a map logger for all our members to pinpoint where we all live on this bigblueball. It’s on a sticky in the into section called ‘where in the world’ using the frapper site. So if you haven’t put your pin on the map then off you go, what you waiting for hehe :p
March 19, 2006 at 5:56 pm #140411Jeff HesterKeymasterThat’s really cool. What Google is doing with their mapping technology is fantastic. Of course, don’t forget Google Moon (be sure to zoom all the way in).

Google Mars is neat, by the way. 🙂

March 22, 2006 at 7:57 pm #140412RabidKittenParticipantEntirely too much fun. *purrish* The elevation map for mars is purdy *cackles*
*Google moon, zooms in all the way* I KNEW IT!
