Google Talk Connection Problem!

I downloaded and installed Google Talk but it is not connecting. It says “Could not authenticate to Server”. I talked to Google people, they could not understand the problem yet. They asked a number of questions which i replied but i m still having the same problem. I am able to connect to GMail with the same id and password but it is not working with the Google Talk! Does anyone have ever encountered such problem? And can you please suggest the remedy for this problem?

😎 the problem is solved now. I hope the GT people figured the problem out and fixed it. Thanx to GT peeps!

Make sure the firewall, if enabled, is allowing Google Talk, possibly, and check that the same port is being allowed for outgoing data.

EDIT: Oh, you got it to work. Make sure to your posts if you fixed the problem.
