MemberI’m finding all of these new things on the internet and keep having questions. I have looked around for tutorials, but cannot find anything.

See how the blue light is coming off of the projector. How did they do the blue light? I have an image that I have done with a projector, but I just want to illuminate a blue or green light off of the projector, in photoshop but I have no clue how to do it. That would be the final touch for the image if I could do it.
Also

is there anyway I can invert this projector? So instead of facing towards me, its facing the other way. Yeah I can look up images but I cant find any that are facing the other way, and was wondering if Photoshop could just do it for me.
If anyone knows, please let me know asap.
thanks!April 27, 2006 at 6:26 am #143303Tigerblade
Participantif by ‘invert’ you mean you want to rotate it to see the backside of it instead…. no. photoshop is a photomanipulation tool… not a miracle worker. you *could* try to paint your own panel over the lens, but it depends on how good you are with that sort of thing.

MemberIf you just need a line like that… use the paint brush and blur it a little…soft fade it a little around the edges like the pink line I drew on your photo (yeah had to use pink) Show us how you did when you finish your photo.

ParticipantPhotoshop is all about steps, you don’t get your desired result in a few minutes. A nice looking glowing light line would take more than a few minutes. Here is what I would:
1. Create a new layer
2. Get the Paint Brush Tool
3. Draw a line the color you want (at this point it will look bad, just a line drawn), also hold shift to draw perfectly straight lines.
4. Filters > Blue > Gaussion Blur, and adjusts the radius and all that to get a desired effect.
5. You can duplicate the layer, add more layers, or whatever, keep playing until you get what you want, the magic of the undo tool :P.If you need any more help, feel free to IM me, all of my screenames are in my profile.
