A quick hello to you fine and brilliant folks who gave me an answer to an emoticons question without making me sign up :D! I’ve only owned a computer for three month’s, so I apologize in advance for all the mistakes I’m going to make here :o. So :new: to computers that I can barely find the start button on the desktop! I don’t understand ninety percent of how to post to forums – I’m sure I’ve already made my first mistake . BTW what exactly is a “msn messenger handle”?
March 31, 2006 at 7:01 pm #141028RabidKittenParticipant*chuckles* Well, you haven’t made any mistakes yet really, and you’ve already made one big good move — You signed up and said hello! (That and you’re a tea drinker so you’re my new best friend, heheheh)
Heheh, I remember watching my mom walk through her first computer, it was adorable. She actually went up to the nursing home to visit my grandfather (Who is a wiz) and he had her go through the mouse tutorial on his computer, heheheh.
And if I’m not mistaken, I believe that an MSN Messenger Handle is the name on that particular messenger. But I’m sure that the folks in the MSN section would be able to help you a bundle more than I could *wink*
April 1, 2006 at 10:23 am #141038Tea GrannyMemberI lost my reply trying to download the spellchecker . I appologize if it shows up twice :o. I’ll try again just in case.
Thank you for the warm welcome RabidKitten. I’m glad to hear at least one of the younger generation enjoy’s the “other” caffeinated beverage! Funny you should mention your grandfather, because my father (74) taught me! I think computers skipped a generation. Seems the very old and the very young understand it no problem. It’s us MAF’s that don’t get it. Thanks for the polite nudge to the MSN section – perfect manners!April 1, 2006 at 5:26 pm #141034sarahtownyMemberHi there and welcome.
Just got a computer and working out the internet if your not used to it must be a bit of a nightmare!
Well if you click on my name you will get my profile, and from there my IM name on msn. If you need help on working out how to use bigblue then by all means add me hun and will be more than happy to hold your hand and show you the ropes. After all that’s what I am here for. 😀
Hey and don’t worry about making mistakes, we all do that! No worries 😉
April 2, 2006 at 1:20 pm #141039Tea GrannyMemberI love your avatar sarahtowny!!! I hope I have one that cute one day too. A nightmare? Bless you for understating my current turmoil. Not only am I having “what is this” issues, but my brand new pc (three month’s) has to go in for it’s third repair. One repair was an “xp restore”. So, everytime I start making headway – slap in my face – a pc problem gets thrown into the mix. There are times I honestly wonder why this product is so popular. I love it when it works right, but oh my, the cussing I do when it goes wrong. Shamefull really. I clicked on your profile. I will not be challenging you to any arcade anythings. Your trophy has me thoroughly intimidated! Now, for another stupid (embarassing) question. You said I could “add you”. How? Where? I have no doubt when you tell me I will die from utter unrecoverable embarassment, but I can assure you – there are even stupider (is that a real word) questions to come. If you are still willing to hold my hand, then I would appreciate (love) the help :D. Yes, I need to work on the long winded bit!

If you have MSN messenger installed on your computer then just press the add and it will walk you through the process. However, if you don’t here is a link to download:-

Believe me I am no Bill Gates, but if I can be any help then off you go and see you soon. P.S put the kettle on an make me a nice cup of tea 😀
April 2, 2006 at 8:46 pm #141027MartinBradleyMemberHey, welcome to BBB. I hope you enjoy your stay here!
April 2, 2006 at 9:17 pm #141040Tea GrannyMemberThank you. Sarah has been wonderful helping me out.
April 3, 2006 at 12:58 am #141030AwesomeSauceParticipantOoh, I still have to welcome you, Tea Granny!
By the way.. I don’t really drink regular tea (in fact, it’s against my religion) however I am a Sobe Green Tea junkie. I hope you’ve tried it before, because I am hooked on it. It’s the only kind of green tea I ever buy, and it’s the most refreshing drink. Ever. Unless someone thinks they can suggest a drink even MORE refreshing, bring it on. 🙂
April 3, 2006 at 10:04 am #141041Tea GrannyMemberThank you for the welcome!
So, I take it you like Sobe Green Tea? No, I haven’t. But …. I’m certainly going to look for it. I haven’t met a tea I didn’t like, and all the tea blends they’re offering sound yummy. Please tell me that’s a real glass bottle it comes in!!!April 3, 2006 at 1:23 pm #141031AwesomeSauceParticipantHeheh, yeah, sobe drinks come in glass bottles. You should be able to find it at any grocery store or supermarket. Also, don’t buy the yucky diet version.
Oh, and you’re welcome!

Oh, and you’re welcome!
April 3, 2006 at 2:25 pm #141036MrEggsaladParticipantHmm..I have yet to say Hello? I guess I do. Well here I go….*breathes in and out in large breaths* Hello Tea Granny! Heh, I’ve really enjoyed reading your posts and stuff, you seem like a pretty cool person! 🙂
April 3, 2006 at 4:13 pm #141042Tea GrannyMemberThank you MrEggsalad. I’ve been reading your posts too. Everytime I read something of yours I get hungry! Sorry, but your un is one of my fav sandwiches. Me cool!!! *big sigh* If I could only get my son to agree with you. My daughter does! Is 50% a passing grade?
April 5, 2006 at 6:28 am #141029RabidKittenParticipantHeheh, well of course it is *cough* at least in my book. Just don’t ask any teachers for their professional oppinions. *shifty look around*
