well i wudnt say i play the guitar…but i no HOW to! my dads wicked on the guitar….we put on live concerts, with him on the guitar….i do a bit of singing too….in fact we’ve got a small concert on new years eve!!!
I play base guitar and the electric guitar @ school every friday…but i’ve also got a rock band project @ school so i’m basically doing base!
I play 4-string electric bass. I sometimes diddle about on a 4-string accoustic bass but my hands still haven’t adjusted that well to it’s size in comparison to an electric bass guitar yet. I think if I’m serious I’ll go ahead n’ learn the 5 n’ 6 string bass too one day.
I mean sure – punk rawk is fun at first…. but after a while I get bored. I now play jazz combo improvisation. No not big band stuff like in schools. Lil’ combos. Ya know… a couple people n’ it’s all improvised. You wouldn’t believe how basic n’ easy punk rawk is compared to more creative forms of music.
Downside? I can’t have nails! I WANT NAILS! I’m fortunate enough to have such nicely shaped nails… but I can’t have ’em! Boourns.

My dad always seemed to think that it was a good idea to have nails when playing the guitar…..maybe its different for bass……i really wish i had taken the time to properly learn how to play the guitar, but i’m too impatient!! i wish i had the talent without learning, lol, but thats me for ya!!

You should have a bit of nails for guitar to pick… if you’re not using an actual pick. If you have nails for bass – it clicks n’ sounds distorted like the amp blew. Boourns. Lucky son-of-a-guns. 😉
