MemberHi guys!
I have seen a chatter in a yahoo user room’s who always boots the people and locks their user id’s. He claims that he can hack into any user’s PC and mess with it. He gains control over their PC without them accepting any links, file transfer’s or PM’s from him and gets the files from their PC. This he has done with my many users and claims that he is gonna fry their computers or cook them:(. I want protect myself and my PC from him. I use Y!TunnelPro Ver 1.3 Build 264 along with Symantec Norton Internet Security 2004 & Symantec Norton Antivirus 2004 with the latest updates. I removed the spywares from my PC with Spybot Search and Destroy & Trend Micro Housecall. I don’t have him in my friendlist or do pm’s with him. I heard that a hacker can access through any open ports. His id is krishnan_20us. Can he still access my PC? How can I close those ports and safeguard myself from his attacks. Thanks in advance.:)

MemberGet a Firewall…

ParticipantCorrect me if i’m mistaken, but isn’t Sysmantec Norton Internet Security a firewall? I believe it is. I also believe that the firewall asks permission of the user (unless the option has been turned off by the user) for certain programs to use ports. If so, than you really shouldnt have anything to worry about. This so called ‘hacker’ is probably nothing more than a script kiddie trying to scare new users. True hackers don’t announce their skills. In all honesty, you shouldn’t have to fear the safety of your computer. He’s just another clan of wannabe’s that i’ve heard of from the yahoo scene. If that dosen’t put you at ease. Challenage him. When I say that, I mean ask him questions. Such as, what port do you use to hack others computers? Are you using an exploit in the yahoo messenger to do this? If so, what exploit? Questions like that usally put them against the wall which results in you being ignored. I’m not really familiar with the Yahoo scene, but I know this method works in the AIM scene.
