MemberHello everyone,
Irrespective of the no of id’s and profiles that I create the hacker is able to steal my password. Could someone please help me how to stop him. I’m tired of creating new id’s every other day n changing passwords:(
I don’t know how he was able to do that. I never clicked any unknown links or accepted any file transfers from unknown people. Most of the time my pm’s are blocked for and only friends in my list pm me.
Is there any way that I can clean the password stealing trojon from my hard drive without formatting the hdd?
If someone could help me out in this, I would be very thankful to them.

MemberOkay, here’s the drill, first thing you need to do, is update your anti-virus and run it. The problem you are having is simply the fact that you have a trojan on your computer that is logging all the passwords and usernames you use. Might be logging all information you have typed. About the only thing you can do is scan your computer for a virus. If you do not have anti-virus or if your anti-virus doesn’t find anything, then go here http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp and do a virus scan. It’s free, and is better at catching things that even norton can’t find. After you finish with the scan(s) you might want to totally delete your account and make a whole new one, and don’t put in any of your real information (if you forget your password you won’t be able to get it back unless you remember what information you put in there) but that way, people can’t steal your account by asking you questions like you birthdate, zip code, and so on and so forth. It would also help because those who are logging your password, have probably logged all your account information also. Be sure to make a copy of all your friends on your buddy list and send them a message about the account change. Hope this helps. 🙂
P.S. It isn’t a hacker, it’s what we call a script kiddie. Merely a hacker wannabe trying to show off to his hacker wannabe friends. Try not to get them confused. ^_^

Memberfor a free online trojan scan visit http://www.trojanscan.com/ From the sounds of things, you may have a keylogger in your system.
This site is very informative about keyloggers:http://www.pestpatrol.com/Support/About/About_KeyLoggers.asp If you don’t have a good spyware program already I recommend you get one> Here are just a few: Spybot, Spysweeper, Pest Patrol, Ad-Aware 6.0. Also, learn more about internet security. This page will give you a start http://security.yahoo.com/
