MemberWe have a problem with a hacker. he has blocked us from speaking to one person. they cannot see any of our messages we send him but he can talk to us.
does anyone have any ideas wot kind of software he is using. and is there anyway to stop him?

KeymasterWhy do you believe this is a hacker problem? The first thing I would do is try to better understand what you’re dealing with and eliminate any variables that might be causing a simple software problem.
For starters, can we assume that you used to be able to IM this person successfully? When did it stop working? Do other people receive your IMs successfully?
What version of MSN Messenger are you using? What version is the other person using? There are known problems using the MSN Web Messenger and third-party IM clients like Trillian and GAIM.

Memberwell thats about all the information we have. all we know he has somehow put a block on our friends account from people being able to speak to him and vice versa

MemberI dont think thats possible unless that person-hacker you’re talking about has access to your friend’s account. Even so, your friend could unblock you anytime if thats the case, so where’s the problem?
Has it ever occured to you that your friend blocked you himself?August 31, 2004 at 5:12 pm #73146mememememe
Memberwell its happened. no I can see the person online, and they can see us online its just this person has blocked us from seeing each others messages. so its not the case of this person blocking us normally on msn.
plus this person has hacked into our friends computer. so he can see what is going on. for example when we tried to make new accounts on MSN to speak, they could see and therefore blocked those too. so there is no way around it.

If you go to help then click on Terms of use scroll down their to see if hes in violation of any of those terms because I can see many which he is in violation of.
You agree to use the Service only to send, receive, and transfer appropriate messages and material. By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that when using the Service, you will not:
Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others.
Use any material or information, including images or photographs, which is made available through the Service in any manner that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary right of any party.
Transfer, stream or otherwise make available, files or other material that contain viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer or property of another.
memememememe I would let him know that you are recording his conversations do so by clicking file then save as to save any chat conversations. This will help incase he/she is stupid enough to admit it to you.
When you have logs of him/her admiting to you what trouble the person has caused contact Microsoft Messenger by writing to
Microsoft Postal Addresses
UK
Microsoft Limited
Microsoft Campus
Thames Valley Park
Reading
RG6 1WGInclude a print out of any saved logs and explaining to them about the violations of the terms of service will help you to. Get his email address and then with all these into account their technical staff will most likely shut down his account and contact his isp – Internet Service Provider.
Do this and your problem is solved.

ParticipantYou could always get in touch of the ISP but I know in US the only real thing that can be acomplished is to revoke the persons passport. Honestly if its that extensive id be looking on your PC for some sort of program causing that. And if you state that theyve been meesing with other peoples acct then I would definetly say youve got some sorta keylogger program causing it. The only thing ive personally ever come across was a fake loggout screen that would come on the persons screen you wanted the PW of, but they had to accept a DL for it. But it would log you out and when your login again it would transmit the PW to the other party. I dunno but honestly what can MSN do?!? revoke a passport or two, but as far as your PC nothing. And MSN can only prosecute if it involves threat of violence or money. So hopefully they can find the person and revoke his passport , but he can get another just like you and I. So if its a program on your PC I dont think hed care much, hell just do it again
