MemberI have a physco ex boyfriend. And somehow he got onto my SN, without knowing my password. I had him blocked on my buddy list and when i got home, he was on it again. So i asked him…and he said he used a “AIM HACK”. This makes me nervous, because he also deleated all the boys off my buddy list as well. But, by him signing on my SN…it didnt kick me offline. I simply got an IM from an AOL person saying that i was on my SN in two other locations.
This pisses me off, because i dont feel safe anymore. Two questions, how can i stop him from doing this again?! And what is the program he used?!
Thank you for your help 🙂

MemberDont worry. Your boyfriend didn’t use an “AIM HACK” as they no longer work. He could’ve asked a friend or he mightve found out earlier and you didnt know. There are so many possibilities. If you want to avoid this happening again use a password that has two words or random letters. (something you wouldnt find in the dictionary)

MemberTheseOceanSkys. Has he ever been to ur house? It wouldve been easy for him to find out if he did. Your friends telling him might also be something to look into…

MemberSomeguy03, just him going over to her house would not make it easy for him to retrieve the password, especially if she has it saved. The only way him going over to her house could help is if he saw TheseOceanSkys typeing in her password, even then, I would find it hard to believe that he could get it…especially since it’s a random password. Sometimes I can barely even tell what I’m typing, forget about looking at the keyboard of another and knowing what they are typing. TheseOceanSkys, have you told any of your friends your password?

MemberYou have to take into consideration that he couldve got on her account and changed her email, and then requested her password. This is something very ovious and not something most people havent thought of. It is a common way to steal passwords and is used often today. There are so many security holes in Aim that the possibilites are almost endless of how she lost her account.

ParticipantI have had some security problems in the past too so…
Here is a suggestion but you don’t have to take it:
Get a new sn and get a new email (you can always get a free email from yahoo or msn or whatever-I have about seven secret emails and use them all for different things-so it is near impossible to track me) Having multiple AIM sn’s with multiple passwords is not a bad idea either-just keep track of them.*Don’t tell either to anyone except those who you definately[/b] trust*
Also if your xboyfriend knows your screen name, he might be able to read what you post here cause you are using your AIM name! If I were you I would use a different name.
