Halo 2

It was ok I guess, I’m not a big Halo or Xbox fan, but I did play on Xbox Live and also a 4 Player rumble. I though it was Ok, the new weapons and stuff, and also the graphics and physics are quite nice. Defenitly worth buying and playing, but not worth loosing sleep over. (My friend waited at EB till 12:01 for the game..:))…

I heard it was pretty dang cool. I don’t have an Xbox, and I don’t play video games too much, but a lot of people I know have talked about it a lot. One of my friends got to stay home from school one day last week and play it all day. :/

Yea im planning to buy $1,000 worth of halo 2 from a wholesaler.

I just came from what I guess BECAME a Halo Party. We were all playing football, then decided to go to someone’s house. Well after about 2 hours of trying to figure out how to play it in their theater, we finally got it running. it was funny seeing all the guys on the football team getting all into the game. but yea, its fun… but not when one guy is obbsessed with the game, and kills everyone in a few minutes

The online play really dissapointed me. Now that your default weapons are SMG’s, playing against other people isn’t that fun. All you seem to require is to be able to hold down the trigger and try and aim at your opponent. In the first one it took skills like jumping around, knowing where to shoot, and being able to manuver swiftly. Now, since you can dual wield sub machine guns, jumping around and moving doesn’t do anything. All they have to do is spray bullets around and you will eventually die. In the first one, if you were having a battle with someone, you would have a few seconds to back behind a hill and wait for them, or you had time to switch weapons and try a different strategy of killing. In Halo 2, a close combat battle between two people never lasts longer than 2 seconds. If you tried to move behind a hill in Halo 2 you would be dead before you stepped, and if you tried to switch to a different gun you would be dead before you even had time to put your weapon away.

I also think what two weapons your wielding matters way to much in the game. You could be a complete newbie with an SMG and a pistol, and still beat a pro player simply because you had a better gun combo than him. In Halo 2, what gun your holding seem to be more important then how good you actually are at the game. The original one revolved much more around skill. For example: If you developed precision aim with a pistol, you could take an enemy out with a few sharp shots to the head before he had time to blow you up with a rocket launcher. In Halo 2, you wouldn’t even have time to hit someone with one head shot before they killed you with a rocket.

It seems like you just spawn, run around, die, run out and die, and keep doing this the entire online game. And if you get the flag you run back to your base, die in the process, have someone else pick the flag up and die also, and then have someone else get it and score.

You aren’t allowed to have an “army of one” in this game. It wont let you. In Halo one if you were taking on 2-3 guys at once, and you had enough practice, skill, and a little luck, you could manage to kill all of them on your own. In Halo 2, regardless of the situation, its IMPOSSIBLE to win in a 3 VS 1 situation and a 2 VS 1 win is only possible if the other guys are complete idiots. And in the original Halo, if your team sucked, you could go out alone and do the scoring yourself. In this, you can’t do anything while you have the flag (drive hogs, fly banchees, etc). So if your team sucks, your screwed.
