“The Oscar-winning creative team behind the “The Lord of the Rings” films, including director Peter Jackson, has been named to run the production of the upcoming film based on Microsoft’s blockbuster “Halo” video game. Jackson and his wife, Fran Walsh, will serve as the executive producers for “Halo,” which is targeted for worldwide release in mid-2007 by Universal Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox film studios”

He will not be directing the movie, but him and his wife will be executive producers for the movie. This gives all new hopes for it. I should’ve known that Universal/Fox/Microsoft would be smart enough to figure out that the only way to make a fantastic movie out of the Halo game would be to bring in someone as great as the LOTR production team. Let the filming begin! 🙂
I’m still hanging out for that Duke Nukem movie they said they were gona make back in the 90’s….. 😛
I fearthat Halo movie will be another Starship Troopers…*shudders*
That would be awesome if Peter Jackson’s team worked on the Halo movie. Do you think they could make the movie where you never see the main character’s face. Like in the game.
