August 3, 2003 at 12:48 am #58012BrianMemberI have AOL 9 (BETA) though it is not much different from AOL 8 (PLUS) but I will have to say it is a lot faster especially with DSL (I use BellSouth DSL). I would suggest anyone to wait until they come out with the official ones, because AOL 9 takes a lot of spaces.
August 3, 2003 at 12:51 am #58018Warri0r 7MemberNope, I haven’t seen yet. AOL 9.0 has a lot features than AOL 8.0 but I’m not sure if AOL 9.0 taking a lot disk space. on my computer..:(
August 3, 2003 at 5:41 pm #58019VenommanMemberIs there anything comparable to AOL 9 that doesn’t take up much space?
August 3, 2003 at 7:17 pm #58017Someguy03MemberDo you mean anything as horrible as aol or better? (everything is better than aol)

I have never found AOL to be spyware. They advertise, sure, but they are trying to make money. They include software that works with their software to make it a big bundle. That isn’t spyware.

August 28, 2003 at 9:04 pm #58014CharlesMemberLike I said, they advertise. They would never put spyware in their own program. You have an option in their software to make the ads go away. They do not contain spyware.

You can only test if your a Aol user or has that changed?Yes, you got to have an AOL account to be a Beta Tester.
For these not having AOL accounts can try the public BETA downloads at: http://beta.aol.com but AOL 9.0 and other are not available to non-AOL members, maybe at a later date, who knows. 🙂
