MemberOk, first problem is that my messenger logs in and out every few minutes for no reason. logs off, logs on…Arrgh!
Next problem is that when I set my “status” it goes back to “online” status after about 5 minutes. For instance, if I set it to “away”, I come back a few minutes later and it says ONLINE again.
Can anyone help me? It is version 6.0 and I am running windows XP….I was running Windows ME last week and it did the same thing.

MemberYou said your husband and you are on different computers, I’m assuming you are on a LAN. If you are connected to a HUB, that might be your problem. Because if the internet is being shared to the HUB from your husband’s computer, you’re getting the “****-end” of the connection. And if that’s the case, you should suggest to your lover to switch to a router. And if you allready are on a router, there is no reason why your husband should get a better connection. Unless you are constantly using your connection for downloading or playing games and such.

Membernow thats weired. This happens mainly when MSN signs out (maybe due to connection probs) and then automatically signs you in (even if u dont have your password saved). This way it restores your status back to “online”. I cant think of any other reason

MemberI had MSN as my provider until I cancelled it last month and went to SBC Yahoo. This happened to me quite frequently too and I was on a dial up. Its also happening to me on Yahoo messenger now, which wasn’t happening before…it will disconnect Yahoo, and then reconnect changing my status back to available. This is a real pain in the you know what.
