MemberBasically I’m looking to use some anonymous proxies to hide my IP. Anyone have experience using proxies and can point me to a good site with true anonymous proxies? I’ve googled it but I’d really like to get some suggestions from people who actually use or have used proxies before.

Membera couple of sites I like to use
http://www.samair.ru/proxy/

MemberAnother question, if I choose a single proxy server from one of the lists, is it supposed to work consistently? I find that after a short time, my connections are being rejected from the server. Do I need some kind of program that randomly changes proxies?

MemberPublic proxies generally don’t have a long shelf life.

Memberim fairly certain there are,
I believe a simple google search will reveal the truth about that or not.
What kind of proxies are you using?

MemberProxy Switcher (30 day trial: http://www.proxyswitcher.com/) has a built in proxy tester which is excellent. It also pings the proxy so you can find one that has a descent speed. I would use anything with a ping around 500.

MemberDoes anyone know somewhere where I could get proxies that work with DSL, cause my 2Wire Monitor keeps on shutting off when I try to use one and I cant get online.

I was just trying http proxies with my browser. But which are better? I thought that http is restricted to just browser use while socks could be used for all types of connections. That right?

Thanks, that software looks pretty easy to use. But did you mean you would or wouldn’t use servers with pings of 500?
