Someone suggested that I uninstall yahoo completeley to fix my problem when I attempted to uninstall yahoo it freezes up and I get the following command.
Executing External program:
C:PROGRA~YahooMESSEN~1YahooMessenger.exe-Kill
So how do I uninstall it when it wont allow me to and when I look for this file it says it has been moved or on some other network.
the file should be gone. what you should do is restart your computer then d
elete the folder c:program filesYahoo!messenger
If the file is not gone it will ask you if your sure you want to delete it click yes
After you delete the messenger dir. Reinstall yahoo
what you should do is get Linux, or at least Gaim.

you got that right. I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and my yahoo still does not work. I have no idea why I think it just hates me. I have run virus scans thinking that it may be a virus only to find nothing. I am at my wits end with this thing. I just want to throw the thing out the window.
Usually you get an error because the file you are trying to delete is actually still running.
Go into your processes and see if any yahoo files are running, if so, turn them off.
You can also start up in safe mode, then try to delete the program.
Safe mode does NOT start any applications, unless it’s needed just to run the computer.
