Hey I just need some help with modding AIM, I’m trying to get some buttons out of the bottom buddy list, so far I deleted the pics in AIMres.dll but I have empty spaces where they used to be. How do I get these spaces out of the bottom of AIM?
Here is a S/S Of what it looks like below.
I want to get that big space out and,
I want it to look like is to where the top 2 Buttons are down with the bottom buttons.EDIT: Also if this helps, if I hover my mouse over the blank spots, I still get tool tips of what is there, and I Can also still click on it.
I’m using AIM 5.2.3292

well, I edited my aimres.dll and I got rid of that space…but, I dont really remember how I did it and yours of course looks much different than mine and I have the newest version of AIM. I think for me I went to in reshacker: 23, 323, or something like that. I know I found the answer on google somewhere. ill try to find it. I would like to say though thats its looking very cool so far. I think its got a lot of potential once it gets “cleared up” a little bit. good job!
Yeah, I know its in like 23>323, and 324 But I’m just not exactly sure what to delete. And Also thanks for the comment and trying to find it for me 😀
Ok, I Figured out how to take out the links to the other buttons so now there is no tool tip for them, So now I just need to figure out how to get top two moved up, or vice versa. Now if anyone knows how to do this please reply! Thanks 🙂
goto 23>323 and replace anything that says -46 with 0 to get rid of the bottom bar. if you do move the bottom two up the icons will never be identical (ie: if you switch the icons wont work / you insert the bitmap and change id accordingly you won’t get the mouse over effect).
what you needed to do was replace the bottom left two bitmaps with the ones you want to move down, and then change the control numbers to reflect the new functions. you’ll have to start over if you still want to do this, since when I tried recreating the bitmaps it just gave me standard grey command buttons
What Visual Style is that? It looks like a glossed up version of XP!? Could you give me a link to the site where that theme is.
