I’m sorry this may be a dumb question or something but anyway I am new to this world of aim addons, I was looking forward to Otsego but I see that won’t be coming out probably so I was wondering if there are any addons that offer the option to go on fake idle and also appear offline but still be able to message people, there is someone on my list who can do that but won’t tell me how (the punk) so if you all could direct me with a link to such an addon I would appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to read. I hope somebody answers.
If you use trillian you can talk while away, and if you use gaim you can do both.
Deadaim, Aimutation, and I think middle_man all let you talk while away.
Otsego hasn’t been cancelled, but he is taking longer than expected to release it. So hopefully soon, who really knows…I just wanted to verify what panickedthumb said, middle_man allows you to control your idle status, talk while away (or idle), and some other shady stuff that you can have fun with (like removing your name from other people’s buddylist and going ‘invisible’. The link is in my sig, and it is in BigBlueBall’s AIM links.
