Well, I decided it was time for a new PC and I wanted to build my own. Got everything together, it all went smooth, just one problem. I am not sure on how to connect the front audio jacks on my case to the motherboard. I’m confused because the connectors have completely different names from the connectors on the case. I have searched around the net and all I seem to be able to find are people asking the same question but no answers anywhere. I bought a fairly cheap case, can’t find much documentation on it, and my motherboard is an Asus M2N.
The cables I have are as follows:
I have attached the page from the mobo manual that shows the connector. Can anyone help me out and tell me what goes where? Thanks in advance. 🙂
When I was putting a computer together, I had this problem, but the problem was that my motherboard didn’t support the front audio. I just left the cords blank :(. just stating that it could be the problem. (doesn’t mean it is)
Looking at the left diagram, I’d take a guess at this:
And leave the others off because I don’t know what they do. If that doesn’t work, I don’t know what to tell you, sorry. 🙁
