Okay. A little while ago my msn restarted or something. i logged on msn and all of my display pictures were back to the system defaults, all my emoticons were deleted, and all of the settings that i changed were changed back. this was before i downloaded MSN Plus!, in fact. i didnt download anything before this happened. but now, i can’t upload new display pictures. only on a rare occasion it lets me upload a new one. it come up with a error box saying “The image you have selected is not a valid image file. Please try again.” and ive tryed outting the images in as .bmp, .jpg, .gif, and .png but none of them work please hellp its really annoying

To do so, go to Start, click Run, and type %appdata%Microsoft. In the folder that opens, delete the one called MSN Messenger.
This won’t restore the lost display pictures and emoticons, but should stop you from getting errors when you try to add new ones.
