Is there a way I can hide or remove my screen name from the sign on list but still save my settings/preferences?
You could navigate to c:documents and settingsWIN_USERNAMEApplication DataAIM and cut the screen-name folder to another location on your disk. This should hide it from the sign on screen, but if not, you will need to go into the registry and move some more things around. Let me know what happens with the folder first.
didnt work. I had to go to C:Documents and SettingsDanApplication DataAimdnjusati to find the folder but it didnt remove the name from the list
I also tried to save my buddy list, delete the SN, and load the buddy list but that wont save all settings

Type ‘regedit’ at the Run prompt, and go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAmerica OnlineAOL Instant Messenger (TM)CurrentVersionLoginthen just delete the SN you don’t want
Or if that doesn’t work, just search for your screename, you should be able to find it.
It depends what AIM ver. you’re using.
