When I enter my hotmail username and password the click on enter, nothing is happening. The bar with the green blocks freezes up after 2 or 3 blocks. My yahoo and charter accounts are working fine.
Any suggestions? Please keep it simple. I am not too literate on these issues.
Thanks.
check your hosts file (%windir%system32driversetchosts) for invalid entries. to open it click on Start >> Run >> notepad “%windir%system32driversetchosts”. the only thing that should be in there is 127.0.0.1 localhost. if there are any other entries someone may be trying to steal your account, or maybe you have a specialty hosts file set up to block advertisements.
you can also try to login through http://login.passport.com. after you have sucessfully logged in click on “Hotmail” on the top menu. your browser’s cache should do the rest. personally i don’t like hotmail’s spam protection. it stinks. if a mail message contains PENIS in ANY form it should be deleted!
