I have a couple web site domains that I registered and I’m not using them. I figured I’d see if I could sell them? Is there a market for domain names? Where would I list them for sale? Does anyone have any advice for buying and selling domain names?
Basically, I just want to make sure I don’t get screwed in the end.

Here’s an article that might help a little and may point you in the direction of some more research on the topic.
My advice would be to research it well before doing anything.

@diaadriansyah: Um, where? Anyplace in particular you recommend? There are so many, it would be good to pick one where I can get a good response.May 4, 2009 at 3:19 pm #173805Doris KenneyParticipantI have used a domain broker to buy a domain that was up for auction due to non-renewal, but I’ve never used one to purchase an active domain name. In my case, I used the bidding services of both SnapNames and NameJet. But again – this was for an expired domain – I don’t know what’s involved when the domain is still valid and active.
You should be able to at least contact them and see what’s involved in using a broker. If nothing else you may be able to gain some info before deciding what you want to do.

- eBay – I’ve seen a lot of domains bought and sold on eBay.
- Sitepoint Marketplace – A webmaster-focused marketplace.
- Digital Point – Another webmaster focused site with a specific forum for buying and selling domains.
Good luck!
