At school we cannot play macromedia shockwave games. The computers wont let us by-pass the firewall preventing us to download them. How can we download them and install them? HELP! Its very boring not being able to play shockwave games.
Do you mean an internet content filter that blocks diffrent websites or an actual firewall that wont allow you to download anything?

If you can access the internet and view pages, there is no firewall blocking you from downloading, your school has modified your browser to do this. What actually happens when you try to download something?
If they stop you from downloading, they obviously do not want you playing games, maybe you need to discuss this with your Administrator.
Well we just start installing the shockwave plugin then some thing popups and says something about restrictions!
Please don’t e so vague, ‘something pops up’ is not clear enough to get any help.
Anyway, it sounds like they have locked you out of the installer services, you can’t really get by that unless you modify the registry and place files by hand, NOT something you can do on a school computer
… just ask your sysadmins to install Shockwave/Flash player on all computers in school, because it is required to view about half of the webpages correctly nowadays. Chances are that they might just do it.
