Hello everyone,
How can I get a tracking number online for free?? I’m receving mail by UPS and the people that are shipping it does not have the tracking number yet. When the tracking number is available and assigned, is it possible to get a copy of the tracking number online for free?? If so, where would I get it from?? I wanted to track my order on http://www.ups.com and see where it is. Please reply back as soon as possible. Thanx everyone..
I believe only the shipper is assigned the tracking number. It’s not something that is charged for, its part of the delivery service. Tracking numbers are generally given to the shipper as soon as the order is placed. You could simply call the UPS toll-free number (assuming they have one) and inquire into the status of the shipment. You will likely need to know the location of origin and name of the shipper. Good luck.
What’s a tracking number?
In shipping, a tracking number is a number designated to each package or group of packages that allows a carrier to determine where the package is, where it has been, where it was going, and when it will or did arrive.
