MemberIf you delete them from your list, there should be an option which says, “I also want to block this person” with a checkbox next to it.
You should be able to check this box, and it will block and delete them from your list.

MemberIf you block somebody, does the contact know? In other words, does he or she get a message or some sort of indication from MSN that says “You were just blocked by ….”?
Also, once that person is blocked, what exactly does that mean? Does it simply mean the person sees your contact name in his/her list, but it always looks offline?

Hi Tim, if you block a contact he/she will see you as offline permanently till the moment you decide to unblock him/her.
As far as your first question, don’t you think that blocking happens for a reason? It’s a matter of privacy, so why get notified each time you’re blocked. Anyway, that’s another issue.
I would suggest you did a search in our forums to find ways of knowing that you’re blocked, although none of them so far have been 100% reliable.Right now i’ve made a search for you and here’s a couple of links you might wanna have a look at.

MemberThank you, Prince. That answers my questions. By the way, I have observed many times all over BBB people being chastised for asking questions before searching, so please know that I always do a search. Nothing answered my question cleary, so I found this one from 2004 and asked through it. I have no idea how I missed the post from June 14th in your link that is right on target. Sorry I missed that.
I’m not sure I understand your comment “don’t you think that blocking happens for a reason?”. Clearly there is a reason. A pervert wants me to get naked on camera. I want him blocked but I don’t want him to know I blocked him. I want him to think that I’m just never online. Is that what you’re asking? If I were to block and he is somehow notified, I figure that could agitate the situation. That’s why I asked my questions. If he just sees me as always offline, then great. I’ve never blocked anyone so I don’t know these things and I read everything I could before I posted. Sorry for the dumb question!
Thanks again for clarifying and for the links.
