I need help. I’m getting a lot of anonymous viewers and its getting under my skin. So irritating. Once I open my cam, just a second later they pop-up. Please help me stop them.
If there are other posts related to this please give me the link. I went through the main topics here but didn’t found any.
Will appreciate any help.
Stop them? Don’t make your cam open. Restrict it to users only on your buddy list, or they must ask you to view. If you are prompted with an anonymous viewer, ignore the invitation.
How do they become anonymous? Through other clients like YMLite.
Asian Princess, here are a few past topics in which this has been discussed before. People use programs to view you anonymously, but like Detn8r wrote, configuring your privacy settings is the best way to keep these unwanted requests from popping up.

I get lots of viewers request even if I’m not in a chatroom and I’m always invisible so they wouldn’t know I’m in. Someone told me before that I’m on a mirror site. I just dont get what that person meant by that.
Ok, if you don’t want uninvited requests, you can go into your webcam settings and if you have the ID’s of the people you want to see your webcam, you can configure it to only display it to those people. As far as others knowing it is on, could it be they saw you in a chat room and added you? Or added you from before? Do you have any aliases under that ID that might also be broadcasting the cam? If all else fails, you may have to just get a new ID.

I do believe Y! Tunnel also adds blocking of anonymouse viewers.
If you are on a mirrored site, you are most likely listed on some yahoo site as being a “CAM WHORE”
Hence, a lot of ppl asking to see your cam when you are not in a chat room.

Many if not all of these questions have been asked and answered before. Please take advantage of the “Search” option that resides in the upper left hand corner of the screen and if you are looking for something specific to Yahoo! make sure to choose to look ONLY in the Yahoo! forum. It works…I use it often…you just have to narrow down your search and the answer might not be in the title(question)…it might be in the answers to the question.
Choose always allow these people to view my cam and put one of your other screen names in there, no one elses. If ya dont have another one, make another one.
Then the only way anyone can view is if you invite them (or add their name to the list)
I know exactly what you mean about anonymous viewers makin life miserable cause ya cant put them on ignore. I finally realized what its purpose was.
The site your on is a site where guys post the screen names of girls with webcams. Anyone who knows how to be anonymous knows how to see invisible screen names, too.
No one can see you without you giving them permission and theres no way of knowing if a person you did give permission is recording you.
Just assume that they are. Ask them questions about it and see how much they know. No guy can resist a chance to look smart. Tell him you want to record your friend naked on her cam but you dont know how. It would take the will power of a Navy Seal not to admit it after plantin that seed in his brain.

and dont forget to download a firewall… like sygate….. http://www.sygate.com
