you need an add-on like M_M, M:M, Dead-Aim, ect., ect. I beleive theres also a program for this. Or if you know how use Reshacker.
I would use bannerbgone because it isn’t an add on or a program, it is just a modified registry file that installs itself to the right directory and is spy/adware free (Not that I am saying the other programs you suggested have spy/adware, I just know that this also doesn’t). The other good thing about it is that there are not compadibility issues.
In my opinion, AIM Ad Hack is the best (it is like bannerbgone, only with more options): http://aftermath.dyndns.org:8888/~aimadhack/
