MemberI get alot of junk e-mail now after I joined a Microsoft Newsgroup. I already un-subscribed from the newsgroup, but the e-mails continue to come regarding Microsoft updates and ‘undelivered e-mails’ which I didn’t even send.
In Outlook, I already have the settings to basically transfer junk mail directly to my Deleted Items folder. I don’t feel this is good enough because when I check for new mail, I still have to wait a really longtime to download all the junk mail.
How do I completely block them from sending e-mails to me? Is there a setting to completely block their messages, so that they are deleted at my ISP, and I dont have to waste time downloading them?:(

KeymasterIt depends on your ISP; contact their tech support for details. Some ISPs provide tools that allow you to block email from a specific address or even an entire domain.
Check out mailblocks.com. They have a free service that lets you keep your existing email address. All email is initially held using a challenge/response system. The sender will be asked to validate that they are not a spammer, you get that email, and IF you approve, then their future emails get right through. If you disapprove, they’re screwed for life. I have several friends who swear by MailBlocks.

MemberOh okay. I’ll see if my ISP has any of those services. I doubt it though.
I checked out mailblocks.com….seems pretty cool, too bad you have to pay to be able to use it with your existing e-mail accounts.

Memberarigato, Bounce Spam Mail seems pretty good. But I think every e-mail I get is like from a different e-mail address. So would I have to block each and everyone of the senders?….that would take a longtime.

KeymasterLazyturbo .. Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express.. Outlook express has a place where you can block the sender..
Under Message it says block sender.. or you can create message rules.. for example if you recieved a piece of mail from me.. and you didnt’ want to you could create a rule.. saying anytime I emailed you send it directly to the trashcan or delete it ..
Hope this helps

ParticipantI really don’t have a problem downloading it, I just add it to my blocked senders list, but as of late I’ve been getting a lot of e-mail with no subject, no sender, no reply to, nothing. I can’t block it in Outlook 2003 because it has no domain, is there anything else I can do? (I don’t want mailblocks and ‘Bounce Spam Mail’ seems to not load for me.
