How do I disable private messages from non-friends on yahoo messenger? I don’t want to use a chat client like yahelite and ytunnel and ytkpro don’t work on my computer. Just want to know how to disable PM’s from non-friends on messenger without it blocking text from non-friends in chat. Any help is much appreciated.
I do not have any idea why YtkPro / YahElite / YTunnel doesnt work on your computer. You can try Yazak < Yazak Pro > to get this option. And so far i know there is no such option to block pms from unknown users on yahoo. You cant block them unless they send you pm and get blocked by you manually by putting them into ignore bin.
Why doesn’t YTK work? Tell me the symptoms. 🙂 Also, make sure you’re using the latest versions of it.
is there anyone can help me on how to disable chat rooms on my messenger or is there any way to remove and get rid of joining a chat room?

kthxbai 🙂bluerose, that question deserves a new topic. When you repost, please include the reason you want to block chatrooms. I do not know of a way to block chatrooms in YM, but I suspect your goal is to keep children out of chatrooms. However, any setting you could change via the YM client could also inherently be reversed via the YM client, so I’m fairly sure this kind of a solution would not work.
hey wolverine, sorry if i post in wrong topic, same as jewer, i dont want also to receive unwanted pm’s, i dont want also my cousins to enter in a chat room, coz whenever im at work, they were using my pc and enter chat rooms and then sometimes my pc got virus. hope u understand what i want to happen. i want to disable chat rooms on my yahoo messenger.
