Hi,
I have been a member since 5 or 6 years ago or maybe more or less. Back then I been mostly on and then I go off and on and within the year or so I been on. I have not seen the old yahoo users anymore on my contact list. Some I can view their profile and some the page says can not be displayed or something like that. With the profiles I can see and with the same email we use to send emails, the email comes back as a failure delivery. How and is it possible to find out where do members go? Someone from a few months ago said use Skype. How can Skype look for members? I thought it was only for making calls? How can I use Skype to look for members? Any answers, I thank you.

You could also try doing a Google search on the person you are looking for. Even if all you have is their old YH ID – it’s possibly they have switched to another platform, or have a social networking site (such as Myspace, Bebo, Facebook, etc.) where they use the same ID it’s just no longer Yahoo. If you have their first and last names you may find a Google search helpful.
It may well depend on the level of privacy the person uses when creating webspaces or ID’s. But I know I’ve been successful in at least a couple of cases searching this way. Don’t forget if you happen to see an old mutual “friend” you can always ask if they’ve seen the other person or heard from them as well. Good Luck!

Hi,
Everything failed. I even tried one last thing. I created a new yahoo name and added her, the add went through but 1.) She didn’t sign in and 2.) I don’t have access to her profile. Oh well, I scheduled the new yahoo name for a termination deletion. My mind must be there cause the only time I deleted was this Summer and I remembered how to do it but I done it a different way this time.

Just because the old screen names don’t work and profiles are not there, does not mean there’s anything wrong with your Yahoo, just that the person isn’t available that way. I’m sorry you’ve lost touch with some friends, but sometimes they pop on when you least expect it so keep your fingers crossed!
