I have a few backgrounds in MSN Messenger 6.0 that I want to get rid of (one double, two that I shared but don’t like anymore). Does anyone know where they are stored so I can remove them?

September 2, 2003 at 3:49 am #91009AnnaParticipantFrutZle, what version of MSN (or Windows?) Messenger are you using?

But, if you need to know, the actual created files are in this folder (for Windows XP):
Documents and SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftMSN MessengerBackgrounds
They are created as .tmp files and are not viewable unless you rename the extension to .bmp. Also, deleting from the source folder will not clear them from the MSN Messenger 6 backgrounds list (although they will no longer be viewable).
