You see it everywhere. The Best Of: Albums. year after year record labels release new best of albums for artists just so they can make the extra buck.
but really, how many “best of” albums can a band have?
Many bands have released best of albums, sometimes even 2 or 3. This really goes to show you that the world doesn’t care about anything other than money anymore.
What are your thoughts on this? Are artists and record labels thinking about the music, or the money behind the music?
Artists way to get back at the world for downloading their music over P2P for free. Best of albums scrambles up their better songs onto one CD… mostly what their fans wish they do when they make the albums anyway. Most people only buy albums for one or two… maybe even three or four… but thats it.
Then again, it could be just a way to bring back some oldies. This is where you get: “the best of the best of”
As for seeing any best of albums… just seen a commerical for a best of The Eagles. Alot of some good songs. But then again, most of the eagles songs were good anyway [:P]
For some older artists, i suppose that the best of albums are pretty good. But there are some artists who have only released about 4 albums and decide to release a best of album! And most of the time it’s not so much of the artist’s idea but moreso the record label’s. they want to get more money.
But i agree that many Best Of cd’s are nice. But there are just too many.
