Hi! Is there an easy way to delete a yahoo IM and email name, create a new name and new email, but transfer any saved email files from the old account to the new email name? A friend of mine is trying to do this and is having problems doing this. Thanks for any help! 🙂 Missy
Not off hand but they could use a Yahoo! mail pop program and download all the mail to their say outlook express.
like Y! Pops
Or they could set up a gmail account and just e-mail themselves from the yahoo! e-mail with all the mail they want to keep.
Then when they make the new account just e-mail them back from the gmail account.
or keep them on the gmail account.
Few options available.
One thing I had suggested to a few people around yahoo is to “forward” anything they wanted to transfer over to the new account BEFORE deleting. I have an account for saving those emails specifically. Just take the fwd out of the subject line, and the headers too if you wish before “sending” and still looks good on the other side. At least it works for me.
