Buddy Spy is not working at this time due to changes within Yahoo Messenger.
How long has it been down? I’ve had it for about 2 months and it has never worked for me. It does tell me if a user is logged on, but it doesn’t tell me what chatroom. I’ve tested myself by entering a chatroom invisibly and it indicates that I am on but doesn’t show the chatroom I’m in. I wonder if I am using this incorrectly or if it just doesn’t work..
It has not been working since Yahoo came out with Yahoo Messenger 8.0
While they was updating the messenger they also removed the Go To User
and the Follow User functions. As for the P2P function they modified
it to work differently. Now it will only work properly if that person has you on
their list. Other wise the P2P will always give a false reading.With Buddy Spy the following was used:
1. P2P – Was used to scan a user’s online status
2. Go To User – Was used to tell which room someone was inAnd that is why Buddy Spy no longer works properly.
