How to use downloaded smiley

hi everybody. i have dowloaded some .gif and i would like to use them in AIM. how can i do this ? Can i use other format ? thx

You can’t. AIM uses special codes to define the smileys. It doesn’t actually send the images, just the code.

Yeah….the only way you could use them in you IMs is if you direct connected with the person you wanted to send them to and then pasted them into their IM. This method would work…but it would be slow because each time you sent the image your friend would need to download it from your computer.
