i heard that you can
but no idea about it…
any help..June 26, 2003 at 7:03 pm #60638Brian
MemberYes. Messenger Plus has that feature on MSN 5.0 (not sure about other previous verisons). Hopefully the new Messenger Plus on MSN Messenger 6.0 will continue to offer that feature.
EDIT: I just tried it out on MSN Messenger 5.0, it seems like you have to have E-mail clients (i.e. Outlook) configured so in order to open for new messages.

ParticipantBrian,
are you sure that they are asking to check non-hotmail, MSN emails within MSN Messenger?
If so, yes you are correct. It uses the email’s POP settings to connect.BUT, if they are wanting to sign in with a non Hotmail or MSN email address (ex. like mine: coangr@yahoo.ca, or Jeff’s jeff@bigblueball.com) you need to register a .NET passport at http://www.passport.com/
Register your self one, and passport.com will send you a email to verify that your email is correct. Then you may change your MSN sign in name.If you are looking to use a email address that you want to create right out of your head, then check out dMSN @ http://www.dmsn.nl
You can create ANY email address you wish, and ICQ number you wish. So you can have a email address like billgates@microsoft.com or MSblowsASS@microsoftSUCKS.com Its all up to you.June 26, 2003 at 11:23 pm #60644Nakkoush

and i could sign in on msn using my new email.
but the weird is what is this kind of new email?!!!
is it a fake email coz i tried to send email to it and the hotmail didn’t reply me with an error or something like this so i guess thatr i’m not doing wrong but how can i access this new email which i’ve built it!!
i can’t access my new email from msn when i click on email from msn the outlook express oppen and nothing happensJune 27, 2003 at 4:40 am #60635detn8r
ParticipantDid you create a .NET passport for a email you have just made up out of your head? If this is the case, you cant really do that.
This is why I introduced dMSN.
I have used it before, and it is quite good. You CAN safely enter your regular email password fine without worring of anyone picking it up. It runs on Java, so make sure you have the latest version of Java (search google if you dont know where to find it) and run it! It uses quite a bit or RAM so make sure your not running anything else if you dont have alot.June 27, 2003 at 8:10 am #60642Nakkoush
Memberaha now i have a new look about it.

would you please tell me how to know if i need the java…
well one more thing in the dmsn they say that you can know who has blocked you… is it really working coz i don’t beleive it too much and you can know who closed the chating windows…
thank you for advanceJune 27, 2003 at 8:33 am #60641Nakkoush
