Hi,
I dont hv a TV coz my room-mate has one and we share it together. But in summer he will be away just to return back in fall. So i dont want to buy a TV for few days. I know that there is some way by which one can watch TV on his computer. We have roadrunner cable network connection. But what do I need to do watch TV ( read Family Guy 😛 ) on my laptop? And how much is dat going to cost me?Thanks.

That’s the one I like, their price is wrong. I went to Best Buy and they had it for $99.January 21, 2005 at 1:51 pm #112235neo_ny_23Memberyeah I bought one online from eBay for just 50 bucks. I just hope they r as good in quality also.
January 23, 2005 at 3:40 am #112233colinMemberWhat brand did you get? I hope it won’t break down on you, since most of the good ones are about $100.
January 23, 2005 at 4:28 am #112236SpecializedMemberI recently bought a video card (Nvidia GeForce 6600GT VIVO Edition). This means that I can capture a digital feed via an s-video cable or analog via RGB cable with another available adapter. The card was only a few dollars more than a standard and I cannot see any difference in quality/performance. If youre in the market for a new video card, this may be the way (other option is ATI’s AllInWonder Series).

January 26, 2005 at 1:25 am #112229OreoMemberYeah those nVidia cards are nice…I think we have a GeForce 6800 GT or something like that when we built our PC in November…(My husband knew what he was doing…I just helped him slap the PC together). We have yet to try the TV function out but all of the hook ups are there. It’s pretty cool.
