Link
It doesn’t want to open in a new window. Why not? The answer is probably pretty obvious, but I’m confused.January 16, 2005 at 12:31 am #112001DavidParticipant“window.location” refers to the current window, thus it will move the location of the current window, and not open in a new one. You will need to open a new window WITH the javascript, not with ‘HREF’.
January 16, 2005 at 12:36 am #111999DJHyperbyteMemberTake the onClick=”window.location=daylinks[today];return false;” out. You don’t need it to make a link open in a new window.
click here! should be all you need.

Hi, did you actually read my post and try my suggestion?
January 16, 2005 at 9:25 pm #112003shifterMemberWorked fine for me AwesomeSauce, if you got a 404, then the problem is likely in one of your links, not the code change.
DJ, you’re showing him how to open a new window with HTML, but he actually needs to do it with Javascript in order for his “Link of the Day” script to work.
January 16, 2005 at 11:23 pm #112006AwesomeSauceParticipantOh hey, it DOES work. My bad. Thank you, Shifter. 🙂
