MemberMy homepage lists my ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo accounts. I would like people to be able to click on the icons (which I stole from this site BTW) to send me a message. I believe ICQ offers something like that. Any help?

MemberThanks. I was actuallly about to put an OSI back on my website. I took it off before because it kept showing I was offline when I wasn’t. I will try it again.

MemberRead all the FAQ’s on the website.. that will help.

MemberThank you, magistyk. I did that… I actually had two Trillian OSI’s on my page a few minutes ago. One using my ICQ number (showed I was offline), and one with my MSN id (showed I was online, correctly). Of course, I got rid of the one that said I was offline. I still see nothing about adding IM links on a webpage, though. Tell me I am blind.

MemberWhen you register on the page for your OSI, it gives you the HTML code right there to add to your website…

MemberI asked you to tell me I am blind. I think I finally get it… The code to put in my signature is what I wanted. Thanks. I will test it out later. And tomorrow I will present another idiotic question. This time about Trillian.

Did you enable WebAware in ICQ as the FAQ says?

Select ICQ and MSN in the register form instead and you will get all the HTML and forum code you need. Forum code is only available in the latest version of OSI. If the host you are using doesn’t support forum code, click Next Host in the OSI Webring to get to another host.

Well, I don’t have ICQ on my computer anymore since I have Trillian. Under the Trillian options, ICQ folder, I did this. But it doesn’t matter since I have a working one using my MSN account.

Yes, I registered ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo individually. I will try a different host. Thanks!

Also from the FAQ about ICQ-based indicators:
If necessary, check that you are not hiding your IP address in preferences.January 19, 2003 at 8:44 pm #65004Freddie
MemberI’m telling you I did this. But it still does not matter because I have a working one using my MSN account. Maybe it has to do with my router.

Member…or the caching feature in OSI. You may need to wait for the cache to refresh.

MemberSorry, I believe OSI SUCKS. I have had it on my website three times and it ALWAYS fails. Maybe the people that host it could leave their computers on 24/7? Most of my online friends are in Asia. When it may be convenient for the host to shut down, it makes me look like I am offline. It still is good for an attachment for your signature on this forum, though.
