Memberare we talking about the subprofile Buddy Profile or just their AIM profile?

Participantyeah, like korruptmind said… the regular aim profile isnt really meant to use anything more than just basic html like the tags, especially more advanced stuff like watermarks… and since the profiles dont accept images…
otherwise check out this thread – “How can I put images in AIM profiles?”

Memberi talked to him last night and he showed me one of his friends profiles and wut it does, instead of opening in the AIM Profile Window, it opens in Internet Explorer and she had pics and music and stuff like that yet it was still her Buddy Profile. i knew how to add the html and that, and i told him, but i tried adding images and i couldnt. i got it to link to play music (but it played in Windows Media Player) but i couldnt get it to run on its own. ne help would be greatly appreciated by him and by me because its driving me crazy trying to get it to work

Please do not contact members personally. This is a forum. Contacting members personally is not required and not the purpose of a forum. Share your knowledge here, give your advice here and keep the solutions here. No matter how good you helped this person, or how much this person liked being helped by you – it’s not the way it is supposed to be. The reason why you are helping eachother here, is so everyone can learn from what they read and so that people who have the same problem only need to read how you two solved it. This is why you should never contact any member personally.

do you mean it opened IE after you click some link within the buddy profile? or from “Get Info” it opened IE right away? i know there’s some services like XProfile (uses a webpage) or Subprofile (stays in the profile window) that will let you extend the profile, but….

i didnt realize that would work with the profile window, but then again why wouldn’t it… go figure… but then again the page has to be pretty simple… i tried that with mine, but i put quite a bit of work into the design of mine, so i’d have to make a very simple html profile page instead…
