I have been having this problem for about a week now where I cannot access my hotmail account. When I click on check hotmail I get page cannot be displayed. I tried going to the MSN home page to check it also and I get the same thing. I can access every other website but not my hotmail, I am able to log into messenger with no problems either. I have tried everything with my computer I even did a full recovery as I checked every possible setting that I could think of. Is anyone else having this problem?

December 22, 2004 at 5:09 am #105905dbrackett27MemberI have the same problem on two computers (a third works fine). I can do everything on the two except get to Hotmail – both are XP Home, one is brand new, the other seemed to start after an XP update.
December 22, 2004 at 2:12 pm #105897sensitiveMemberAnyone know what’s going on with hotmail? I can sign in, but it will not go to the Today page. Most of my friends are having the same problem. I’m looking for news on this but can’t find anything on search engines. I can sign on to Messenger.
December 22, 2004 at 3:37 pm #105896shahidMemberI have winXP sp2 and I am having the same problem ..when I click to access hotmail from MSN messenger it just stops responding after a while…now it happens with IE only..firefox works fine but since its not default for messenger I always have to access hotmail manually through login page in firefox.

On the MSN messenger checking the inbox no luck also. Same problem there also. I don’t see any information on the internet. I see older news on hotmail.

Ok my link is made broken because it contains a illegal word 😀http://forum.msgs*h*i*t.net/index.php?showtopic=1621
Paste in your browser and remove the * out of the link.
Aside of that you should be able to use hotmail fine with Firefox, Opera and Outlook.

thanxDecember 26, 2004 at 7:02 pm #105899sensitiveMemberI am not getting luck for about 4 or 5 days and I can’t access to any hotmail pages the contact page as well. I am still getting a white page showing done at the bottom after I sign on to hotmail. So, still no luck for me, and I still don’t see any information on the internet anywhere when it will be up again. Also, what I don’t get is why don’t they give us information about hotmail on msn.com. I also can’t open my inbox through messenger, but I can sign on to messenger.
December 28, 2004 at 9:24 am #105900sensitiveMemberI just opened my hotmail inbox someone told me in other forums to do this: Go into IE’s Tools > Internet Options > Select the Advanced tab. Then find, “HTTP 1.1 settings” on the list and uncheck “Use HTTP 1.1
And it worked. Good Luck to all. -
