I cant send or receive files on yahoo

Hi, I am having a problem receiving and sending files over yahoo messenger, it keeps saying that the file cannot be sent, that i might be behind a firewall.. how do i find out if i am?? and I was using aol before and i didnt have that problem, but i changed my service to Cable and ever sience then it’s happened. what can i do?!

Please provide more details… Is there a cable modem or router between your computer and the cable? type and brand names please.

I guess you noticed that AOL is not Yahoo.:cool:

Thank u for answering, actually by “I was using aol” I meant thats how I was connecting to the internet, Now I have AT&T Broadband Cable connection and I am having that problem.. it says I am behind a firewall.. can u plz help??!?

Hi,

My friend in Uk is having a similar problem. She used to have AOL dial up service. Now she installed AOL DSL. Ever since we havent been able to exchange files through yahoo messneger which we used to do without any issues earlier.

Any advice?
