when i sign offline, i remain online. (i checked with another screen name) and when I IM myself, it says im not availble. furthermore, when i put up an away message, when people IM they, they also get the “not avaible, try again later” error message. I thought someone else was on my screen name so i changed my password. still no luck. i also dont have AIM mobile (there is no phone next to my name). the away message notepad never shows up next to my name either.
One question…. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling AIM again? If you haven’t done so, you should try that.
Yeah.. It does that.. Are you on dial-up? Because alot of my friends have dial-up and that happens to them.. Your not the only one. And by the way, re-installing it won’t work.
reinstalling did not work. the problem went away after 24 hours…. i really believe it has to do with AOL switching the thing where you cant boot yourself offline by signing on at another location. hopefully this doesnt come back…
