hey i hae a virus thing in my profile and every time i log on to AIM, it says: Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Partayy!!! or somthing like that, how do i fix it? its been doin it for like a couple weeks!!
i have had the same problem, when i viewed one of my friends profiles the message appeared in my profile as well “Happy Holidays Everyone New Year’s 2003 partaay!” I just reloaded the saved buddylist i had stored and it reset it. go to buddypicture.net it is an adware. you can install adaware from http://www.lafasoftusa.com and it will get rid of it. Hope this helps
hey i went to the link: buddypicture.net which is supposedly supposed to delete it, and i dd everything is said to do, and then after i did it, it said that it deleted it, and then i look at my profile a while later and it says happy holidays…..blah blah blah…again!! and so it didnt delete it, what do i do? 🙁
The removal tools at the sites (i.e. realphx.net) do provide removal of the trojan and the profile advertisment, but also puts more adware on your computer, according to what I have read at diffrent sites.
did you click on the link i posted?…there are websites in that post that have sites that can remove it.
People should really search the forum before posting. There are already about 5 topics on the profile virus.
